Meeting was called to Order at 7:15pm by Judy Nelson.
   **It was planned to vote on the new board members and 
   leadership positions.  According to the Bylaws, it is 
   required to have a quorum of 12 persons in order to 
   hold a vote on leadership positions.  We were unable 
   to accomplish this due to only 9 members being present.  
   ** It was decided by the 9 members present to allow 
   John Breen to function as Acting President until a vote 
   can be obtained.

Budget Report:
Prior Balance = $6,622.49     Collected $365.00 in dues.  
Paid $189.16 for lawn service to community property and Stamps
Current Balance = $6,798.33
Judy Nelson accepted the budget report.

Prior Minutes:
Minutes from June 3,2008 meeting were read by John Breen and 
a motion was accepted as read.

Old Business:
1.  Membership dues being taken out with taxes:
     Judy Nelson has been discussing with local politicians 
     regarding having our homeowner dues coming out of 
     individual taxes.  This would be one source of income 
     for the association in order to be able to afford 
     improvement to our community properties and other 
     community involvement.  We would need 50% of members 
     to vote this into effect.  A tentative amount is 
     currently being discussed as $50.00 per household.  
     No decision has been made at this time.  
     More research and information in progress.

2.  Mosquito Spraying:
     Judy Nelson reported that mosquito spraying is in effect 
     every Thursday Night.  West Nile Virus was not detected.

3.  Community Shed Door Open:
     The door was found open again to the building. Please be 
     vigilant of any activity or cars sitting in front of the 
     building-especially late at night.

New Business:
1.  Consciousness Committee:  
     John Breen reported that he had been in touch with the 
     committee members but that the committee had not met yet.

     Community on Patrol Program (COP):
     Judy Nelson informed the group of a COP up in Towson.  
     She has a contact person who is willing to come to our 
     community and discuss increased safety tips for the area.

2.  New Road Signs:
     We will be getting new road signs & stops signs in the next 
     couple of weeks.  This involves the stop sign on Bush/Choptank 
     and the road sign on Bush Ave/Kurtz.

3.  Website:
     Is up and running.  Last year's Bull Roast pictures have been 
     put on the site.

4.  Community Party:
     Bob Brenton was going to discuss with John Mason regarding 
     potentially using the outside facility at Kurtz on an "off" day.  
     More information to follow.


A motion was made by Judy Nelson to close the meeting.  
It was seconded.
