Minutes for March 14, 2009

Meeting was called to order at 7:00pm by John Breen.

Old Business:
John read the minutes from the previous meeting.  
Of particular interest was the fact that there was 
an agreement to continue to send out the newsletter, 
and try to minimize the number of letters sent out 
by getting email addresses for as many households in 
the community as possible.  Bob Brenton began this 
initiative of collecting emails by going door to door 
in parts of the community.

Another topic that was discussed in the previous 
minutes was the need to make people aware of the 
Anne Arundel County laws for animal control.  John 
stated that he posted a link on the website to the 
AA County Animal Control Web Page 
(http://www.aacounty.org/AnimalControl/ ).  Cindy 
stated that she was accosted by a neighbor's dog while 
walking her dog in the neighborhood.  John stated that 
the only recourse is to call Animal Control and report 
the incident.  

Treasurers Report:

Peggy read the treasury report, and the balance as of 
4/03 was $6707.09.  This represented $1220 collected 
in dues.
John stated that he still plans to contact Sergeant 
Pleasant to have her come to a meeting in the near 
future to discuss community police issues.
John stated that he did contact Jodie Perkins in 
regards to getting her to advertise on the website.  
He was away on vacation for a week, and has not been 
able to follow up on this topic.  He also stated that 
he would contact John Baxter to try to get him to 
advertise on the website.

New Business:

No new business.

Meeting was adjourned at 7:20.
