Minutes for the May 11, 2010 meeting

Meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm by John Breen.

Treasurers Report:

Peggy read the treasury report, and the balance as of 
5/11/10 was $6758.68  

Old Business:

John stated that he spoke with a representative from National 
Tree Experts and the estimate that was provided ($1440.00) 
was not for all of the trees on the Beach property, and it 
only covered two of the trees on the community property.  
After reviewing both properties, John and the rep came to 
an agreement that for $2000.00, all of the trees on both 
properties would be taken care of.  This included removing 
three trees, cutting away three stumps that were left from 
a previous tree removal, removing the dead limbs from all 
trees, and thinning out the biggest trees on both properties.  
John asked for a vote to spend the additional $500.00, and 
the motion was approved.

It was suggested that we look into fixing the step at the 
beach entrance.  It is a potential hazard to those trying 
to walk down to the beach.  John stated that he would 
investigate the options.

New Business:

Duane Kaeding asked if anyone else was having problems with 
raccoons.  There were a few comments about an increase in 
raccoon sightings, and Duane said that he contacted animal 
control about the problem.  They put him in for a reservation 
for a trap, but there were none available at the moment.


Meeting was adjourned at 7:25 pm.
