Paradise Beach Improvement Association Minutes for the March 8, 2011 meeting Attendees: John Breen (president) Peggy Seaman (treasurer) Bob Seaman Bonnie Dausch Michael Dausch Willie Nazarenus Lee Wilson Susan Brenton Meeting was called to order at 7:05 pm by John Breen. Financial Audit As stipulated in the PBIA By-Laws, Bob Brenton and Shawn Wilson conducted an audit of the PBIA finances by reviewing the past year's bank statements that were provided by John Breen. Board Of Director Election The next item on the agenda was the election of the Board of Directors. All ballots were reviewed, and they were all in favor of electing the incumbent Board of Directors. John Breen cast the ballot for the vote, and it was approved by all members present. Treasurers Report: Peggy read the treasury report, and the balance as of 3/08/11 was $4208.58. Old Business: The Halloween Bingo was very successful as a fundraiser. Bonnie stated that she would like to have another one this year. We will need to start collecting prizes as soon as possible to prepare for the event. The dumpsters will be at the community property in June. John will annonce the exact date in the next newsletter. Paint, chemicals, tires, appliances, and tree trunks are NOT allowed in the dumpsters. John stated that he would like to have another May Day at the Beach this year. There was a lot of refuse that washed up on the shore during the winter, and one of the blue containers has moved away from its original location and is almost on the beach. This will be arranged for the end of May so we can coordinate it with the arrival of the dumpsters. Old Business: John stated that he will need to contact the county about the Mosquito spraying in early April. Meeting was adjourned at 7:25 pm.
