Minutes for the May 10, 2011 meeting

Meeting was called to order at 7:05 pm by John Breen.

Treasurers Report:

Peggy read the treasury report, and the balance as of 
5/10/11 was $5524.58.  

Old Business:
The dumpsters will be at the community property on 
June 24th and will be removed on Saturday June 25th.  
Paint, chemicals, tires, appliances, and tree trunks 
are NOT allowed in the dumpsters.  

John stated that he was planning to have a May Day 
at the Beach this year on May 14th.  This will be 
to clean up the property from the winter storms and 
spruce up the rest of the property.  There is also 
some damage to the ramp at the beach, and it needs 
to be repaired to avoid potential injury.

The community yard sale is planned for Saturday, 
June 18th.  Peggy will notify the newspapers two 
weeks prior to that date.

New Business:

It was reported that the Paradise Beach sign on 
Willie's property was in need of repair.  John 
stated that Bob Brenton was in the process of 
creating a sign for the community property, and when he 
finished that, he could look at the other sign.

Della brought up the situation that Greg Smith was 
having with the county.  He wants to extend his pier, 
and he cannot get permission from the county due to the 
property plat that is being used by the county.  It is 
dated prior to 1933, and shows land between his property 
and the water.  Since that time, a couple of hurricanes 
have eroded away that part of the property but the 
property plat has not been updated.  John stated that 
he would wait for the response from the county, and 
then maybe send an email to Eric Roby to fond out what 
can be done about this situation.  

John suggested that we cancel the July and August 
meetings due to scheduling conflicts and vacations.  
The motion was passed unanimously.

Meeting was adjourned at 7:25 pm.
