Paradise Beach Improvement Association Minutes for the June 14, 2011 meeting Attendees: John Breen (president) Peggy Seaman (treasurer) Susan Brenton (vice president) Bob Seaman Willie Nazarenus Michael & Bonnie Dausch Lee Wilson Cindy Leake Joyce Goetz Greg Smith Meeting was called to order at 7:01 pm by John Breen. Treasurers Report: Peggy read the treasury report, and the balance as of 6/14/11 was $5297.93. Old Business: The dumpsters will be at the community property on June 24th and will be removed on Saturday June 25th. Paint, chemicals, tires, appliances, and tree trunks are NOT allowed in the dumpsters. John stated that the May Day at the beach was not as drastic a cleanup effort as originally anticipated. A storm washed the majority of the debris away. The community yard sale is planned for Saturday, June 18th. Peggy will notify the newspapers two weeks prior to that date. New Business: It was suggested that we conduct a cleanup effort for Paradise Beach Road, since there is a lot of trash on the sides of the road. We are looking for volunteers to head up this effort. Please reply to me or come to the next meeting if you would like to participate in this effort. Greg Smith described his interactions with the county during his ongoing saga to add an extension to his pier at the beach. The latest problem is that the original plats for the properties that border the beach show that there is a road between the property and the beach. There are other complications involved in this situation, and Greg stated that he would report them to us as he finds out what the county plans to do. It was stated that there was no need for the PBIA to take any action at this point. Meeting was adjourned at 7:25 pm. NEXT MEETING: Tuesday September 13th at 7:00pm Location: Kurtz Beach!!
