Treasurers Report: Peggy read the treasury report, and the balance as of 6/11/12 was $4361.40. Old Business: Spring Census: John reviewed the minutes from last meeting. John discussed the Spring Census, and stated that June 16th is the date for the census. We will meet at 11:00 and split up the list among the volunteers. We will then fan out and knock on some doors. Hopefully we will be able to visit the majority of the houses in the development. We are planning to sell raffle tickets as well as verify residential information. May Day at the Beach: John stated that he didn't show up at the appointed time to help with the cleanup. However, the big logs were removed from the beach, and it appeared that someone had cleaned up the beach and raked the debris into a pile. John and his wife Jody went down to the beach at a later date and picked up the pile and raked up the beach a little more. It just so happened that Bob Brenton and his grandson were at the beach and helped out with the cleanup effort. So a heartfelt thanks to all that helped cleaning up the beach. Community Property Sign: John stated that he priced a sign from a local company and they sent an invoice for over $300.00 for a new sign. Bob Brenton had made the sign on the beach property, and he offered to make the sign for the community property for around $75.00. He would bill the PBIA for the cost of making the sign after it is completed. Funding was approved for this improvement project. New Business: Choptank Cul-De-Sac Block Party: John discussed the party at the Choptank cul-de-sac. All are invited. County Roads Update: John Mason was spotted on a lawn mower cleaning up the property on Paradise Beach Road. He also attempted to fix the drainage issue that plagues the intersection. Thanks go out to John Mason and friends for all your hard work. John priced the cost of putting in a couple of corner posts for the community property, and he stated that it would cost around $250 for this improvement project. Funding for this project was approved. Meeting was adjourned at 7:32 pm and the next meeting was scheduled for Tuesday, July 10th. The August meeting was cancelled.
